This 1.6 m (64-inch) model represents a new technological step forward, delivering a comprehensive solution that simultaneously meets the two most demanding requirements of print shops: high productivity and outstanding image quality.

The XpertJet 1641SR Pro II is equipped with key technological enhancements from MUTOH, designed to address increasingly stringent market demands:

• New AccuFine HD Pro printhead: This new head adopts an 8-row nozzle design. The structure places same-color droplets closer together, significantly improving landing accuracy on the media and directly elevating print quality.

• i-Screen EX System (print control): This new control system is engineered to maximize the capabilities of the AccuFine HD Pro printhead. As a result, colors render more uniformly and tonal gradations are smoother, ensuring every print is consistent and high quality.

Thanks to the combination of these two technologies, the printer achieves 17.63 m²/h in Production mode—among the leading speeds in the 4-color (CMYK) class—helping print shops substantially boost throughput.

Solutions for Diverse Applications and Expanded Color Gamut

The XpertJet 1641SR Pro II flexibly meets the needs of many markets, including indoor/outdoor signage, exhibition graphics, vehicle wraps, and POP advertising.

Supporting these applications is the native “MUTOH Wide Color Choice” color profile, engineered to improve the gamut in darker tones—often challenging to reproduce accurately. The result is more vibrant reds and deeper blacks, fully leveraging the ink’s color-rendering capability.

Optimized Operation and Higher Efficiency

The XpertJet 1641SR Pro II integrates multiple automation features and utilities to reduce operator workload and optimize production:

• Automated adjustments: For fast, high-quality printing, two extremely precise tasks are essential. First is bi-directional alignment (“Bi-D”): the head prints both left-to-right and right-to-left. DropMaster 2 ensures perfect alignment between passes, preventing ghosting or blurring. Second is media feed: after each pass, the printer must advance the banner or vinyl by an exact distance for the next swath. FEED MASTER automatically measures and adjusts the advance for each media; over-feeding causes white banding, while under-feeding causes dark banding. Fully automating these two complex steps eliminates manual calibration, saves time and effort, and ensures crisp, smooth output from the first print.
• Efficient media management: The Media Tracker feature solves a common waste problem: unfinished prints due to running out of media. When you remove a roll, the printer prints a barcode on the edge to “remember” the remaining length. Next time you load that roll, it scans the barcode and knows exactly how many meters are left. If you send a 10-meter job to a roll with only 8 meters remaining, the printer warns you immediately—helping you avoid waste and make full use of materials.
• Ensure continuous printing: The printhead contains thousands of micro-nozzles, and a sudden clog can create a white streak. Normally the operator would have to stop the job. Nozzle Area Select lets you temporarily disable the affected nozzle area and activate a standby area on the head to take over, allowing printing to continue immediately without banding and minimizing downtime.

Importantly, MS41 ink is certified UL GREENGUARD Gold, a U.S. environmental standard verifying low chemical emissions—safer for the environment and friendlier to operators.
